John Rhodes, M.D. is a Board Certified Pediatrician and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He completed his pediatric internship and residency at Sacred Heart Children's Hospital in Pensacola, FL where he served as Chief Resident for one and half years. Dr. Rhodes has been practicing medicine in Alexandria since 1990 when he opened Rhodes Pediatric Clinic and has enjoyed serving the central Louisiana Community since that time.
Michael Marzullo, M.D. is a Board Certified Pediatrician, and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He has been in practice with Dr. Rhodes since 1998. Dr. Marzullo graduated from Louisiana State University Medical Center in New Orleans in 1994. He is married and has three children.
Tara D. Bordelon, MSW, LCSW has worked for Rhodes Pediatric Clinic since 2010. She received her Masters of Social Work degree from Louisiana State University in 2002 and has worked in Alexandria since that time. Tara truly enjoys raising her three children in the same community that provided a wonderful childhood for her. In 2013, Tara became a Board Approved Social Work Supervisor. Prior to working at Rhodes Pediatric Clinic, she worked for several years at the VA Medical Center directing the program for the veterans returning from war.
April S. Henry, MA, CCC-SLP graduated with a Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Louisiana State University in 2007. She has experience working in a variety of settings including the school system, skilled nursing facilities, and early intervention programs. Her passion lies in treating speech-language disorders within the pediatric age group and she was thrilled to join the Rhodes Pediatric Clinic team in 2013. April resides in Alexandria with her husband and two children.
LeAnne R. Louviere has been a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner since 2009. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2003 from University of Louisiana in Monroe. She is a member of the LA Association of Nurse Practitioners and National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners. LeAnne worked as a CPNP in Lafayette before moving back to her hometown of Alexandria in 2011 and joining the Rhodes Pediatric team. She lives in Alexandria with her husband and her son.
Ashley Thomas, BSN, IBCLC graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in December 1999. She worked as a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) nurse for three years. Ashley joined the Rhodes Pediatric team in 2002.
Ashley earned her certification as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) in July 2006 and became the lactation consultant for Dr. Rhodes in 2005.
Summer is right around the corner which means lots of time around pools. Alexandria is fortunate to be able to offer this amazing Infant Rescue Program. Check out the link for more information.
Please bring your insurance card to ALL visits. Many of us send our children with grandparents or sitters, but it is imperative that they also have a copy of your insurance card.
We are no longer administering the flu vaccine for this season. Flu immunizations usually start in October. Be sure to immunize early this coming year.
